Station Hill Press

Station Hill Press We publish innovative works in the arts, particularly in poetry and literature... Station Hill is a green publisher. All of our books are printed to order.

We publish innovative works in the arts, particularly in poetry and literature (including fiction, non-fiction, and criticism) and contemporary art and music; philosophies and practices of conscious living (including studies in Buddhism, Dzogchen, Zen and Jewish esotericism); alternative health and healing (including acupuncture, bodywork, oriental medicine, mind-body therapies, and cooking); and

social and ecological studies. This reduces waste and helps us keep prices low while greatly reducing our impact on the environment.

Station Hill Press mourns the passing of the poet and translator Jerome Rothenberg (1931-2024), our friend, colleague, author, collaborator and guide through this maze of a world made of what is said. As Jerry writes, "A 'real' person in these terms is one who hasn’t forgotten what & where things are in relation to the Earth. Earth-rooted, he is royal too, not by precedence of birth, but insofar as he has & shares a knowledge of the realm. He has only to maintain a true eye for his surroundings & a contact with the Earth, to recognize himself as the inheritor of reality, of a more real way of life."
