Service Notice: Scheduled Maintenance

Starting at midnight tonight and tomorrow night, we will be performing essential maintenance to improve our fiber internet service in the north and east parts of our system.

During this time, customers in the areas around John Rowan Blvd (US-245) and farther north, as well as those around Old Bloomfield Rd extending all the way east to Chaplin, may experience intermittent outages.

Outage Window: 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM
Dates: Oct 26 and 27

🚨 Service Update 🚨

If you've noticed intermittent outages recently, it may be due to sun interference. During the equinox seasons (Feb/March & Sept/Oct), the sun can pass directly behind the satellites we use, causing brief disruptions in service.

Bardstown Connect uses 10 different satellites, so disruptions may vary, but our best predictions indicate that most of the issues will be between 2pm and 8pm and most of them should last 5 to 10 minutes.

This natural phenomenon only lasts for a few minutes each day and should clear up soon. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this!

Every year, our team at Bardstown Connect has to chase down outages caused by well-meaning hunters. When shotgun pellets hit power lines or equipment, it can cause cracks or breaks that knock out power. It takes us hours to track down and fix these sneaky issues. Attention Bardstown Connect Customers:

We want to inform you that tonight and tomorrow from midnight until 4am, we will be conducting maintenance on our fiber internet connections. This maintenance window is essential to improve our services and will cause connectivity issues for fiber customers only.

If you continue to experience connectivity issues after 4am, please follow these steps:

1.) Power cycle your ONU by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

2.) If that doesn't work, press and hold the reset button on the back of the device for 15 seconds.

3.) If you still experience issues, contact our support team by calling (502) 348-5947 or sending a message to the Bardstown Connect page.

It's around that time! Bardstown Cable email passwords are now scheduled to reset yearly rather than every few months. This means for most customers (depending when your password last changed), your email will require you to update your password. To change your email password manually, you will need to login to our webmail on our website www.bardstownconnect.com and go to the drop down menu under 'Current Customers' and click on webmail login. You can also navigate directly to the login page by typing in mail.bardstowncable.net directly into the url bar at the top of your browser. If you're unable to login with your old password or forgot your password, feel free to reach out to us at 502-348-5947 for assistance! 🙂

We have had several reports from customers about illegitimate emails going to their bardstowncable.net emails. Bardstown Connect aka Bardstown Cable will NEVER send out emails asking for your account information or that your password has expired. We have taken the steps to block these emails sending out spam. We are currently having cable issues that are causing some channels to be intermittent or go out completely. Channels like TNT, TBS, CNN, GSN, HBO and Cinemax along with some others. We are working on the problem and hope to have it fixed in the next couple of days.
