Known for their iconic Coffee Pot sandwich, this family-run business has been a part of Bangor’s story for over 90 years, serving up a signature mix of green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and various deli meats and cheeses. The Coffee Pot has become an institution, evoking nostalgic memories for generations who grew up on its unique flavors. 🥪

Meet my little editing sidekicks, Dexter and Dash! 🐾

These two boys make the best company during long editing sessions—always curious, playful, and ready for a cuddle when I need a break. ❤️ I recently decided to have a mini photoshoot with them to capture their unique personalities and print a few of the shots for both my home office and studio space downtown.

Dexter is the brown and tan kitty, and Dash is the gray and white kitty.

I truly believe that pets are family, and they deserve to be celebrated and remembered with beautiful photos. Their time with us may be short, but the joy they bring is immeasurable—so why not capture every moment? 📸🐈

Hey guys! For those new to our page, I am Sarah, the lady behind the lens. 📸

I have been working with different businesses and brands to capture what makes them sparkle for a decade. It seems wild; in 2015, my mom came down with cancer, and I decided to stay home instead of heading out to college. I started by taking pictures for a jeweler and an Indian restaurant in my hometown of Waterville, Maine.

The journey of growing my solo business into a boutique agency that covers more than just strategic photography but also all things marketing and branding has been a ride and one I am blessed to continue.

My mother is healthy now at age 70, after a long battle with cancer and a stroke, and I am proud to say a big motivation for me is to get her someday her art gallery so she too can express her love of art with the world.

When times get tough, and your heart hurts, fight with all the magic you have and remember to never underestimate yourself on your way to achieving dreams✨📸🎨

A photoshoot throwback for

I love working with pastels, and natural color clothing on models. In this case, it allowed the product (fine jewelry) to be the hero of the image.

Matching and staging an environment to compliment the model will prevent any major distractions from the product.

Who said professional headshots aren’t fun, or have to look stuffy? 😘

When working with clients, I like to make sure they feel prepared, and do lots of fun little exercises to make them comfortable in front of the camera!

I encourage them to bring a couple different outfits and we spend the first ten minutes getting to know different poses we want to accomplish!! My OCD kicks in hard throughout the whole shoot, ensuring no hair or makeup is out of place! 📸

Bill’s Bagels out of Orono, Maine makes over twenty unique bagel flavors, and not only are they packed with flavor, but they are perfect for breakfast sandwiches because they are not your average bagel. That's right, no hole in the middle! 😮😍

🥯 Just because there isn't a hole, doesn't mean there isn't a whole lot of flavor 😉

We had such a fun time capturing these yummy creations for the Bill’s Bagels family, and hope your mouth waters looking at them!! 📸

My team was so fortunate to be able to tell the visual story of this super smart team of scientists in action at the Yellowfin Tuna aquaculture facility in Franklin, ME

Kingfish Maine is a subsidiary of Dutch aquaculture. Their mission is to mission is to further advance their first-mover position in technology driven aquaculture, and continue to establish themselves as a market leader in the sustainable production of high value Marine Seafood.

We learned so much about the process of raising the fish and keeping them safe, and healthy. What an educational photoshoot.

HISTORIC FACT: Along the jagged coast of Downeast Maine lies the fishing town of Machiasport. At one time, part of Machias, the city was once known for its booming sardine industry and lobster, clam, scallop, and shrimp fisheries. The famous British sloop-of-war ship, Margaretta, was captured by Machia's settlers and marked the first naval battle in American history! 💥
When our Downeast Maine clients call us for a photo shoot, you better believe we are putting our Muck or XTRATUFs boots on for a real adventure.

This lovely 6,000 sq ft homestead was once owned by Hannibal Hamlin (Abe Lincoln’s Vice President) and is rich in history and elegant design. It is now proudly owned by a young couple who hope to share its wonderful heritage with state residents and families visiting the great state of Maine.

It's the new year, and we all want to get the conversation started about our 2023 services and products. Finding an experienced media agency that you trust and that can accurately capture your business's style is key to successful marketing. Whether you choose me and the team at Story Silo Media, (YAY🎉) OR someone else, professional images and video benefits are immense.

Over the next 10 days I will be sharing my top tips on what to look for and what you should ask when finding your brand photographer!

TIP ONE: EXPERIENCE
Not all photographers are the same and have experience in specific photography areas. Checking their portfolio on their website and Instagram only goes so far. Send them an email and see if they can share some images with you of work similar to what you are looking for.

This could include product photography, lifestyle photography, food photography, and more. Brand photography is also having the marketing skills and being able to give an overall feel, look, and impression of what a business or brand is all about. During the past nine years, I have learned so much, and that education never stops. But my favorite part of this industry is capturing the many stories of my clients and growing with them year after year 🤩

So the big question is, do you like your coffee hot or iced when the cooler weather comes around?

These images are obviously of iced coffees - our team captured them a couple of years ago for a local cafe, and we were amazed at how many people still hankered for iced.

It’s a Mainer thing. 😂😉
