Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman and The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston are 2 of my favorite romances as of recent.

Funny You Should ask is about a celebrity reporter who interviews an actor set to be the next Bond. The events that unfold over their weekend together catapult her career. The story is told over the course of this weekend but jumps to 10 years and we get glimpses of what happens between them in that weekend (10 years ago and now). It was such a sweet read and the first time that I wasn’t severely annoyed at either party so that’s a win! Cool thing about this book is that it tells some of the story through celebrity reports and interviews.

The Seven Year Slip is about a woman who inherits her recently deceased Aunt’s apartment. She discovers that the apartment is magic and it transports her back in time to when her aunt subleased her apartment to a young girl aspiring chef. Lots of self discovery in this book and heavy on the romance.

Today, my colleague told me she bought my book this spring when her grandmother died for her daughter and nieces and she said it was beautiful and helpful. It was so out of the blue and it really just warmed my heart.

I’m glad people are still thinking about Homegoing and even more glad granny gets to touch people’s lives even years after her passing 🥹

I’m currently reading Such A Fun Age by Kiley Read and I love it! So 25 year old Emira is going through a bit of a quarter life crisis. She babysits for this woman Alix Chamberlain. Alix is a bit much, especially after an incident involving Emira, Alix’s daughter, and a racist security officer that should have minded his business. Emira is just trying to live her life but Alix (who should also mind her own business) has other plans. I don’t wanna say too much else or I’ll ruin it. Find out what happens for yourself! I am so excited to share my first children’s book with everyone. Writing and illustrating this book has been a true labor of love and I’m so glad to be able to share it with everyone. Homegoing: A children’s book about grief tells the story of a little girl who loses her Granny and doesn’t quite understand. After the passing of my own grandmother I used this book to cope with my loss and hoped I could help others. Through the use of her imagination and the help of her mother, the little girl in this book navigates her own feelings of loss.
