The Hellfighter: The Online Journal of African American Military History is looking for freelance writers to author an article on one of the following topics:

1. 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion
2. 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion
3. Salaria Kea (A nurse who volunteered to serve in both the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War.)
4. Joseph C. Jenkins (The first officially recognized commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.)
5. Benjamin O. Davis, Sr.
6. Benjamin O. Davis, Jr.
7. Frederick C. Branch (The first African American officer of the U.S. Marine Corps)
8. USS Mason (DE-529) (One of two U.S. Navy ships in the Second World War with an all-Black crew.)
9. Jesse L. Brown (He was the first African American to complete the United States Navy's basic flight training program. He was killed in action during the Korean War.)
10. The Red Ball Express

Good morning! I am happy to announce the release of the Fall 2024 Issue of The Hellfighter: The Online Journal of African American Military History! Please go to thehellfighter.net to view the Fall 2024 Issue, as well as back issues.

As for In Command: The Online Journal of Military History, the Fall 2024 Issue will be released one week from today, on the 8th of October. Being that it is a new magazine, it is taking a little longer to complete. But rest assured, we are getting there, and it will be out on the 8th!

I want to thank you all for all the love and support you have given these magazines. I want to give a special thank you to those who have either contributed articles or will contribute articles. Without you all, the magazines would be nothing.
