With the U.S. Postal Service not running mail today due to former President Jimmy Carter's funeral and the day being deemed a national holiday, and with wintry weather Friday potentially impacting mail delivery, this week's edition of The Baldwyn News may be heavily delayed in reaching subscribers. Rack copies will be out on Thursday. However, we've decided to post this week's copy here for free for anyone wishing to see the paper without having to wait on the mail. We're working on our annual Letters to Santa edition today and we have one that Santa sent to us, asking for help on this. Brennan, Santa said for some reason he doesn't remember getting your first letter? Maybe it got lost in the mail? Santa takes each letter from every boy and girl very seriously. He may not be able to fulfill every request but he wants every boy and girl to know they are precious and he loves them so much. He's been so busy preparing for this season that he didn't want to let this slip by him, so he asked if we could help. Brennan, if you get a chance to write a new letter, could you take it by Baldwyn City Hall and leave it for Santa? He's afraid if it goes in the mail, as busy as the postal service is this time of year, he might not get it in time. Thank you, and Brennan, we hope you have a Merry Christmas!

So, we're thinking: Would there be interest in a digital download magazine (for sale) – and possibly a print copy, but that's a BIG IF on the possibility, depending upon production costs – with half the proceeds/profits from sales going to help raise money for the championship rings for the Bearcats? Comment below to let us know. And in case you're wondering, this magazine would be in the style of the college championship magazines that were published for many years, featuring recaps of all the Bearcats' games this season and packed with photos from the season as well as the championship game. Here's a sample of what you could expect.
