Our Story

Hectic Films is an indie film company founded by Rickey Bird Jr and Jason Sanders in 2004. Since then we have been involved with 20 feature films, over 50 short films and hundreds of web videos and commercials. All these films are made with little to no budget and shot in Bakersfield, Ca. We have won of 50 awards for our film projects. Including premiering a film at the Chinese Theaters in Hollywood. Some of our commercials have even been aired nationally.

We are also active members of the community in Bakersfield. We do workshops, help orgazine local film festivals and even donate time to high schools to help their film programs. We want to inspire the next generation of filmmakers to keep making movies.
