Capri Records is a leading independent jazz label started by record collector, jazz enthusiast and entrepreneur Thomas Burns. Launched in 1983 with a release by tenor saxophonist Spike Robinson, the Bailey, Colorado-based label now has a catalog of over a hundred titles including those by bassists Ray Brown and Red Mitchell, trombonists Al Grey and Phil Wilson, saxophonist Bud Shank and drummer Lo

Over the years Capri has helped launch the careers of a number of artists including The Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, trumpeter Ron Miles, flutist Holly Hofmann and composer/arranger Chie Imaizumi. Have we got a special announcement for all you jazz lovers out there! The legendary trombonist Phil Wilson's incredible arrangement of the Wizard of Oz Suite will be published for the very first time in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Phil's album of the same name. We're "dotting the Is and crossing the Ts" to make sure nearly 500 pages of sheet music are ready to go and we expect to release it for sale by the end of Spring. The full 32-minute suite will be available digitally for $150. The seventh movement, "Over the Rainbow," will be also published separately as a standalone trombone feature. We hope you're just as excited as we are!
