While the tradition of a powder puff game is on hold as construction continues on the stadium, AHS hosted a Buff Puff tournament. Participants played volleyball whether they had played before or not. Like the powder puff game, Buff Puff is a celebration as we wind down the end of the school year.

The eclipse hit totality at 1:41, and the entire school was outside to enjoy the show and the slightly cooler weather. Sophomores McKaelynn Bromley said she expected it to get darker, “but it was fun.”

On Saturday, Azle Theatre’s UIL One Act Play competed against other local schools and, for the first time in 5 years, Azle will advance to the Bi-District on April 2 & 3 at Terrell HS. In addition to advancing Azle won the Best Tech Crew award, as well as some individual awards. Photos of the OAP public performance by Sophomore Madelyn Tucker.

Friday Chorale held a sing-off to promote the choir for the middle schools. Senior Kameron Weger says, “It’s not really a competition but more of a recruitment activity similar to what theatre does with their student performances.” Weger is one of Chorales leaders.

Yesterday, the environmental club, SAVE, met with representatives from the , Nicholas Martinez and Haley Parrish, to learn more about conservation maintenance. SAVE plans to restore the nature trail behind the school to a native plant conservation with a pocket prairie and trails.
