Today’s my last day at Imaging USA—one of the biggest photography conferences in the country, with over 10,000 photographers attending, from passionate beginners to World Cup-winning pros! 📸✨

I’m beyond excited to share that I passed the written portion of the CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) exam, bringing me one step closer to earning my certification! 🎉 This milestone means so much to me as I continue to invest in my craft and elevate my skills.

This experience wasn’t just about learning (though there was so much of that!)—it was also about connecting with talented photographers from across the nation and building lifelong friendships.

BUT For real though....(In the realm of photography & business) This past year has been an incredible journey of growth, creativity, and more discovery. While it's only been a little over a year now, it still amazes me how having a private space to create art has been a game-changer in more ways than I ever imagined. It’s a space where I’ve been able to expand what I can offer to my amazing clients.

I’ve been able to provide a wider range of options for maternity, newborn, head shots, and small family sessions, no matter what the weather brings. Rain, snow, or shine—the moments we capture together are never compromised. This flexibility has opened up so many opportunities to craft memories that are as unique as the families I photograph, even though I feel like my in-home studio already busting at the seams. LOL

So I wanted to share one of my favorite setups thus far: "Santa’s Cabin" scene by Baby Dream backdrops. This was a last minute impromptu setup for a client...& While I've been accustomed to using my white walls, paper rolls, and digital backdrops, I’ve discovered a new love for using actual backdrops & scenes, and they’ve added an exciting dimension to my sessions that I can’t wait to explore even more. Their quality of backdrops and their vibrancy are hands-down the best I've ever seen.

Looking ahead, I’m dreaming big. Next year, there’s a strong possibility of bringing a real Santa into the studio for an even more magical experience. The possibilities feel endless, and I’m so grateful for this space that allows me to dream, create, and continue to grow.

This little precious one perfectly captured my end of year mood with her priceless expression during today’s family photography session—and I couldn’t resist titling this moment accordingly! - "Are we done yet?"

Her adorable face says it all for me: "2024", As this session marks the very last session for ASP in 2024, I look back on this whirlwind of a year, I can't help but smile, laugh, and mostly, cry.

But as we wrap up the year, I’m filled with so much gratitude—for the incredible families, sweet babies, and amazing memories we've created together preserving legacies. 🥰
