Welcome to our new voice teacher, Alexis Graves

A little about Alexis:

Here is my bio:

Alexis Graves is a classically trained Mezzo Soprano from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and a proud graduate of Belmont University’s School of Music. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance with a minor in German, Alexis has honed her craft under the mentorship of distinguished instructors, including Mr. Joseph Helinski, Ms. Hilerie Klein Rensi, and Dr. Ted Wylie.

Throughout her career, Alexis has performed with the Nashville Symphony and appeared on PBS. She further refined her operatic artistry at the Berlin Opera Academy in Germany, where she portrayed Gertrud in Hänsel und Gretel, working alongside renowned coaches, conductors, and directors. This international experience deepened her insight into the complexities of operatic performance and broadened her global perspective.

Passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, Alexis is dedicated to mentoring and empowering young artists, helping them develop both technically and artistically.

Hector Olivera is a famous organist and keyboardist. The Music Note has been fortunate enough to have been given his harpsichord! Our keyboard students will have the opportunity to play this instrument once it is tuned and regulated. Thank you Dr. Archie Diaz and Zaiden George for helping move it into the studio this evening!

There are many people that work behind the scenes to make The Music Note the success that it is! Our teachers would like to take a moment to thank them.

Alisa who manages all of our schedules, keeps us going, and has navigated the necessary changes so effectively in the last few weeks due to the weather challenges.

Kathy who does the billing.

Mary who takes care of the many administrative and clerical duties of The Music Note. She also develops the procedures and processes the keep us working effectively.

Judy who manages the music and method book library.

Olivia, Zaiden, Frances, Ciara, and Dylan who work hard to clean and organize the studio, stock the bathroom, shovel the snow, do instrument repairs, organize and set up for the ensembles, who have taken on the project of redoing the ceiling in our ensemble rehearsal room, and many other things that go unnoticed that keep us going us going.

Thank you all! We couldn’t do this without you!
