Love on the Dole

Hi. I have decided to take an indefinite hiatus from Love on the Dole to pursue other creative endeavors. I'm not sure when I'll be back to doing live shows again.

I'll post new (pre-recorded) shows to Mixcloud whenever I feel like it. I've spent my entire lifetime making playlists, all the way back to my teen years when I was the mixtape queen! (I had the three in one Aiwa stereo WITH the corresponding turntable.) Of course I'm never going to stop.

I'm also going to continue to pay the $15/month for Mixcloud so all of my shows that I've uploaded over the past four years are accessible for streaming. I might even dig through the archives and post old KOOP shows too (with their promos and underwriting announcements removed ofc). Thank you so much for everyone who has tipped me on Mixcloud! You helped me pay the subscription fee.

The time and effort it takes to do this every week compounded by waning interest has made it difficult to justify going forward for now at least. I'm not abandoning this account or the show, just switching gears for now (unless an opportunity arises...?)

Another selfie for the Al Gore Rhythm (I was told I need to "build my brand" or something like that) while I pop on here to let you know I won't be posting the recording of last Sunday's episode.

I listened to it and well, I wasn't pleased with it. The audio quality of the talk breaks wasn't good enough for me. So instead, next Sunday will be a "do-over" of sorts. I'm going to play some of the same stuff I played last weekend, but I'm retooling the playlist a little bit!

Anyway, it's all going down next Sunday LIVE at 4pm US CT, the usual time!

So to celebrate, I'm putting on a show at 13th Floor Bar here in Austin! ON July 4th! MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
