Just finished making the bed for the log cabin. The video is out now on YouTube. Everything is handmade from natural materials . The mattress is 100% Swedish wool made by Sandra that I got the pleasure to visit. Everything even down to the threads in the stitches are handmade from natural h**p thread. A one of a kind craft here in Sweden that Sandra does by hand!

To cover my roof, I decided to use bitumen roof shingles, this is a good option for those who decide to cover the roof alone, as it does not require much effort. Now that the roof is ready, I can move on to building inside the log Cabin. In the near future I will start making doors and windows, and then I will start insulating the walls and roof. By winter, I plan to finish the sauna, shower room and a small relaxation room and start new construction. 🏠😀

Thank you all for your support! I hope you are all right. And thank you for all the love on my previous post! I’m still reading and answering your beautiful comments 😉

My off grid sauna quickly transforming into a comfortable place for recreation and cooking. To build the walls and ceilings of the sauna, shower and recreation room, I use unedged boards prepared in the summer. I am also installing a sliding door mechanism for the shower room.
Given the cold winter temperatures, the temperature inside the log cabin always remained above freezing. Using a portable power station, I provided light using 10 energy-saving 5-watt light bulbs, this allowed me to work until late at night.
When the walls for the shower and sauna were ready, I began to arrange the recreation room, where I will spend a lot of time while I build my real big house. The most important job was installing a homemade stove for my sauna. It was not easy to do this yourself, since the weight of the stove is more than 100 kg. Having installed the stove in place, I began to line it with refractory bricks, and to give it an attractive appearance, I covered it with stones that I collected in the forest. With the help of the design of the stove, heat will also flow into other rooms, this will allow heating not only the sauna, but the entire house.
At the entrance I hang a coat rack where I can store my clothes, on the front wall of the recreation room I hang a shelf for pottery. I thought for a long time about how to install the table, since it would take up a lot of space, so I decided to make a folding table. Also, using the board that was left over after installing the walls, I made bedside tables and shelves for things. After finishing all the work, I hung the deerskin over the fireplace.
In the near future I plan to make a folding ladder to the attic and make the attic a full-fledged place for sleeping.

Hi everyone!
I am continuing to build my own log cabin (on my forest plot), which will later serve as a sauna, shower room and a small room where I can relax, while building my real big house for me and my family. At the beginning of the video, I needed to make a wooden hammer to fasten the timber, after which I started drilling holes to fasten the wall. For this I use a 28mm wood drill bit and a birch wood wedge. To insulate the wall, I use a natural linen insulation.
This week seemed very hot, it was hard to work in such weather. Also, insects are very annoying, so I have to start a fire and keep it going throughout the day . Due to hot weather and drought, vegetables and fruit trees have to be watered twice as often, because of this there is a big shortage of water, because there has been no rain lately either. I have to carry water from the nearest lake, which is 800 meters from my site. I started thinking about digging a well, I think it would be a good idea, because the issue of water supply will be gone forever.
The walls are being built slowly but surely. I had to come up with a mechanism for lifting a log to a log house, since it is becoming increasingly difficult to do it manually. I pulled the cable and installed a winch that allows me to lift the weight up to 1 ton.
This saves a lot of effort and energy, so building walls will become a little easier.

In this edition, I will share the process of making a burger on my barbecue table in a remote and wild forest. My goal is to learn how to survive in a log cabin in the forest with the food that nature provides. Therefore, in the next series I will start collecting birch sap and making birch syrup, since spring has already come. Today the temperature has risen to +20 degrees. Also, a tree fell near my hut, which caught on another tree, and at any moment it could fall on the hut, so I had to throw it myself, which was very dangerous.
I have been wanting a dog for a long time, but I don’t know what breed is suitable for traveling. I would love your advice in the comments.
Thank you for watching.

Life in the forest is very different from life in the city. It is calm in the forest, there are no those problems that haunt the modern world. Sometimes you feel like a part of nature. So I decided to build my house in the middle of a wild forest. This video you can see my life for 1 year.. During this time, I have mastered many skills necessary for survival, including construction skills. Now I'm ready to build something bigger. I have wanted to have a real big cabin in the woods for a long time, so I use all my building skills and start building a big log cabin in the woods.

After many months of building my previous log cabin, which serves as a sauna, a relaxation room and a small bedroom, I have gained enough experience to build my real big log home, which will have plenty of space for comfortable living in it. In the previous episode I concreted the support columns. In this episode, I used my tractor to bring an oak tree with a diameter of 28-35 cm for the construction of the foundation. After I finished making the oak columns, I began installing the main floor beams that I milled from trees I cut down on my property. I also set up my sleeping area in the attic.
Today the temperature rose to +25 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it becomes more and more difficult to work. This summer I plan to dig a well and a fish pond. In the next episode, I will prepare and bring logs to build my house.

This is the last episode on finishing the outside of the house. And now, I can feel at home. I'm glad I was able to finish the exterior in time for the start of winter. All that remains is to make the door, and the interior will be warm and cozy. After installing the windows, I began finishing the front and back gables. Also, on the second floor, where I plan to make a small bedroom, I decided to make a small window that will add more light and comfort to my room. In the near future I will begin to insulate the entire hut, but first I want to make the floor for the second floor and the front door. Once work on the second floor is complete, I will begin building the wall for my sauna, shower room and a small kitchen. There is not much space in the cabin, but for me this space is enough to divide the cabin into three rooms.

I Also want to share very good news with you. I decided to get a dog! Finally another little dream of mine has come true. Soon my dog will appear in my videos. This is an important step for me in my life because I understand that it is a responsibility, but I am completely ready for it.

Now October is coming to an end, winter is getting closer, which means it’s time for me to think about installing a metal stove. I decided that I would not buy a ready-made metal stove in a store, but would make it myself. Stove prices are now very high, and the metal this stove is made of is too thin, so it will last much less than a do-it-yourself stove made from rough metal. That's all I wanted to share with you. I thank you for watching and for your wonderful comments, they really inspire me. Goodbye! See you soon.

Hi everyone!
This week I decided to visit my old log cabin. I cooked meat with mushrooms, vegetables and potatoes in a cauldron. I am glad that my Cabin, which I built a year ago, is still standing and everything is in order. After a good breakfast, I went to continue building a new Homestead on my site. I had to make some wood scaffolding for the log cabin so I can safely work on the walls as they get taller.
I also have a lot of beautiful wildlife shots that I took last week, you can see it at the end of the video. I hope you will enjoy

I am continuing to build my own log cabin (on my 2 hectares), which will later serve as a sauna, shower room and a small room where I can relax, while building my real big house and my farm for me and my family. In addition, my goal is to learn to live a more self-reliant life.
All my construction and my life in the forest will be documented on this channel "Bjorn Brenton"

Now that my forest kitchen is complete, I proudly return to building my log cabin. There is little time left before winter, which means I need to speed up construction. In this episode I made a staircase and railing for my porch. It turned out better than I expected, so I think this will become my favorite vacation spot. In the future I will make a rocking chair, I think it will be a nice addition to my porch.
In the next episode I will install windows and start building the second floor.
The air temperature begins to drop every day and becomes colder. Lack of drinking water is the biggest problem now. Therefore, while there is no big frost yet, I will start digging a well. I think I will need to dig 5-8 meters of soil to get water. This will also solve the problem for a constant supply of water to my sauna.

See you soon 🤝😀
Take care 🙏🌲☀️

This is my 8th episode since I came to this beautiful place in the middle of the forest.
In this episode, I called my friend to my site so that he pulled out with a tractor all the roots that grew in the middle of the site. Now there is a lot of swamp here, which greatly worsens the working conditions, but soon I will sow this place with grass.
I started building my new log cabin, which will serve as a small kitchen, steam room and shower room. Also this summer, I plan to start building my large log house for permanent residence.

In this video, I made concrete pillars that will be a strong support for the future house, I also made the first part of the floor, in the next episode I will start with the insulation of the floor and sewerage.

March is a great time for wildlife photography. I set a lot of camera traps far in the forest, so I hope they took a lot of interesting shots that I will share with you in my next videos.
