"The Wesleyan Quadrilateral" is a methodology for theological reflection that can be used to:
• Discern God's will,
• Understand passages of Scripture, and
• Consider how the Holy Spirit is moving through church and culture.

The term was coined by Methodist theologian Albert Outler in 1964.

The Quadrilateral is often presented as a four-pointed diagram. Scripture is always the primary foundation.
