Chris Paul passed Jason Kidd for 2nd in career NBA assists and the Jordans he wore featured a logo special to him and his family 🏀

The special Jordan CP3.XII pair that Paul wore honored his late grandfather, Nathaniel Jones, the first African-American to own a gas station in the state of North Carolina. The gas station was simply known as “Jones’ Chevron” in the Winston-Salem community.

Jones, known as Papa Chili, tragically passed away at 61 when Paul was only 17. In Paul’s very next game, he scored exactly 61 points to honor his grandfather ❤️
