I was truly saddened to read the accounts of the Austin musicians who were scheduled to open Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) tomorrow, but got bumped from the lineup due to a scheduled weather delay. Two of those artists, Darkbird and Primo the Alien, now have a forever home on The Girlie Show so we'll kick off tomorrow's show with a song from each. I know it's community radio and not ACL Fest, but hopefully it's something. Support local creatives! Support community radio.

Tune in tomorrow at 4:00 PM Austin time on KOOP Radio, 91.7 FM or streaming everywhere. Aside from Darkbird and Primo, we'll enjoy an hour of nu disco with French touch overtones. It’s the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and we are going to focus on love and triumph on The Girlie Show this afternoon. There was a lot of adventurous music coming out of NYC around the turn of the century and I’m looking forward to sharing some of it with you today.
