Austin Editors Guild We’re a group of Austin-area text editors who meet for panel discussions, professional-development workshops, Q&As with guest speakers, and social hours.

We’re a group of Austin-area editors who meet up for panel discussions, professional-development workshops, Q&As with guest speakers, and social hours. We go by many names: developmental editors, copyeditors, line editors. We edit fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, academic manuscripts, newspapers, and web articles. Many of us have backgrounds in teaching and writing, too. Basically, we work

with words, and Austin Editors Guild is our community of like-minded word nerds. Austin Editors Guild was co-founded by local editors Kamila Forson, Meilee Bridges, and Judy Marchman after they met, rather fortuitously, at a Women Communicators of Austin event.
