We had a great turnout for our "Tuff Dad Contest" sponsored by Tuff Shed. While we received many entries from all over Central Texas telling us why their father is “Tuff”, this family's heartwarming story won our vote. When it comes to Austin TV news, KVUE is king, according to the latest Nielsen ratings. The city’s ABC station was No. 1 at 4:30 a.m., 5 a.m., 6 a.m., middays, 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. during the recently completed May “sweeps” period. NBC affiliate KXAN finished in first place at 6 p.m.
