It has come to our attention that several of our Early Bird coins did not survive the trip through USPS meters, which apparently flung the envelopes so hard that the heavy coins tore through the edge of the envelope.

If you have received an Early Bird Thank You note, but the coin is missing, send us an email at [email protected] and we will send a replacement coin in a fling-proof envelope.

The third and final batch of Early Bird "thank you" cards and gifts (can you guess what the gift was?) has finally been sent, because we ran out of souvenir coins! (Spoiler alert, the coin is the gift.)

So we had to have more coins made, and they can't whip these things out instantly. Anyway, they're on their on way. Thank you again to all our Early Birds, Middle Birds, and even the Late Birds.

The clue/comic books will mail on October 15. If you're waiting until the last minute, you should get your order in by October 14. (Don't wait until the last minute, order today. Why not?)

We used AI to create another song. This time, it sounds like a Barbershop Quartet, if three of the guys didn't show up, and That One Guy sang anyway.

Then we asked a different AI to make some images for the song, and it did an okay job. It couldn't spell, it put the cuts not quite in the right places, but there were some surprisingly good choices. And we couldn't edit the images. So we saw it, and now you have to see it as well. Enjoy!

Our Asheville Hunt in 2022 ended with four groups simultaneously at Leah Chiles Park trying to find the coin hidden under the red slide, but it was Nasrin Azari who found it first!

The Great US Treasure Hunt 2024 spans the country, with coins hidden in 10 states: 5 both east and west of the Mississippi, at least 2 in Pacific, Atlanta, Gulf Coast, and Great Lakes states.

At least two coins will also be hidden in state capitals.

Coast to coast, in cities large and small. Good luck and have fun!
