Bring your family to our studio at the Hill Country Galleria for a cultural event to celebrate Chinese and Asian culture with the Mid Autumn Festival September 28 from 1-3pm.
Enjoy lantern making, calligraphy exhibit, food and fun.
Mei Szeto, a native Chinese speaker born in Hong Kong, graduated The University of Texas at Austin with a Master in Education, and has taught Chinese for 20 years to students of all ages. Mei is the founder and director of WaterBell Academy, and she is passionate to share her language and cultural experiences with people around the world.
Johnathan Carreon is a 14-year-old student and has been learning Mandarin from Mei for two years. That Johnathan feels very connected to Mandarin and pairs his love of art with his passion for the language.
Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon/Mooncake Festival, is held during the harvest time of year. Friends and family join together, eat good food, light lanterns, and bring happiness and hope to one another.
