After setting a US #5 the night before which some commenters were not impressed with, Grace Bethel brushed them aside and set a new US No. 2 in the finals of the KYA Indoor Classic.

The two current US #1 800m indoor runners are both from Indiana, both committed to UNC, and were both in action in Louisville last night.

Ellie Barada, the defending NON 800m National Champion, entered the meet with a 2:07.19 which is still top in the nation and won with ease.

Meanwhile, Caleb Winders, defending NBNO National Champion, became the first runner under 1:50 this indoor season with a 1:49.66.

They’ll double back today in the Mile. Stay tuned.
