IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

NAMI KDK’s Board of Directors has appointed Luisa Cicero, Spanish Program Coordinator, as Interim Executive Director. This decision supports the organization’s growth and mission to serve communities in Kane, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties. Luisa brings over 16 years of experience in leadership development, communications, and consulting, along with academic credentials in organizational communication and creative writing. She is also a published author and deputy poet laureate of Aurora.

The board expressed gratitude to outgoing Executive Director Sara Gray for her four years of impactful leadership, during which the organization achieved significant progress. Sara has transitioned to a new role as Executive Director of NAMI Illinois. The board looks forward to continuing its mission under Luisa’s leadership and will share updates as they advance.

Today, we hosted our 2nd Annual Cookie Exchange at 📍43 W. Galena! 🍪🎄 This year’s spread included a wonderful selection of cookies, fudge, bark, chocolates, and even conchas.

A big thank you to our amazing officemates for joining in: Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce, Aurora Area CVB, Invest Aurora, Women's Business Development Center and Aurora Downtown!

Also, a huge shoutout to Tropical Smoothie Cafe Aurora for treating us to a delicious lunch, complete with refreshing smoothies—everything was absolutely delicious! 😋
