Campsite with a View .. When not hunkering down in my tent to avoid hail and rains, I could step outside and see this beautiful view.

Valley Cloud .. this cloud bank formed in the basin below where I was camped. The evening rays lit it up with soft pastels, and the mountain background framed it.

Crystal Clear Reflections .. There's something so cool about the symmetry created in images with lake reflections. And this was a spectacular post-storm sunset to work with.

Shadow Dance on the Landscape -- The sun dropped low enough to cast this shadow of me while I photographed the horizon.

It's rare that I put myself in an image. But having just my "shadow" there kind a gets me half-way there, eh?

Epic rains = Awesome waterfalls -- A nearby waterfall cascading out of the basin I was camped in swelled with the rains.

Some hikers who chose to camp near this were (as many hikers were) pummeled by rain and hail. They ended up moving their camp to more protected ground.

"We camped there..." -- These hikers nearby had pitched in what seemed like a "safe enough" spot.

But then it rained. And hailed. And hailed and rained some more.

And they had to "do what they could" to get out of the rising mini-lake they found themselves in.

EVERYBODY I ran into had their "monsoon survival story". This was an epic storm.

Well "Haaaay-ell!" ... The hail FINALLY stopped.

When I cracked open my tent door, I saw a landscaped covered in inches of it. It looked like winter!
