NOTICE TO LEE COUNTY TAXPAYERS FROM REVENUE COMMISSIONER OLINE PRICE:


The list of delinquent taxpayers is now being published in local newspapers in preparation for the Tax Sale to be held on Wednesday, May 4.

In recent days there has been a scam in another county involving delinquent property taxes. A person claiming to be an employee of the County Revenue Office is calling delinquent taxpayers and offering them the opportunity to pay the delinquent taxes over the phone. They are given a bank routing number and account number to transfer the amount of the delinquent taxes to.

Please be advised that at no time will the Lee County Revenue Commissioner’s Office accept payment over the phone or give any banking information for accepting payment. We only accept cash, certified or cashiers checks or credit/debit cards for delinquent payment and payment may only be made in person, by mail or online through our secure website, www.leecountyrevenuecommissioner.com.

If you are contacted by anyone claiming to represent my office offering to accept payment by phone, please contact my office at 334-737-3656 immediately and ask to speak to Oline Price.
