A proposal could soon expand California’s Film & Television Tax Credit Program from the current $330 million annual allocation to $750 million annually!

"One big selling point, according to Juli Johnston, the film liaison for the Placer County Film Office, is its stunning and diverse landscape. Sacramento really is close to everything: lakes, rivers, mountains, snow, vineyards, orchards, farms, you name it."

Placer County’s Film Office was recently mentioned as part of Comstock’s Magazine’s September cover article discussing the growth of local film production in the Sacramento region.

No matter the season, Placer County is home to beautiful, rugged terrains that attract the eye of commercial location scouts throughout the nation.

In the last 12 months, Chevy, Toyota, RAM and Nikola have all filmed vehicle commercials and used Placer as a backdrop. From the fresh-powdered Tahoe mountains to the iconic Foresthill Bridge, these productions notably featured unique locations only found in Placer County.
