Ready to roast the perfect bird? Our friends at Live Well Alabama have all the tips you need for a safe and delicious Thanksgiving feast!

Cooking Time! Set your oven to at least 325 F to roast your turkey. Cooking times vary based on weight.
• 8 to 12 lbs: 2¾ to 3 hours
• 12 to 14 lbs: 3 to 3¾ hours
• 14 to 18 lbs: 3¾ to 4¼ hours
• 18 to 20 lbs: 4¼ to 4½ hours
• 20 to 24 lbs: 4½ to 5 hours

Don’t forget the thermometer! Your turkey needs to reach a minimum internal temperature of 165F in the thickest part of the breast, thigh, and wing. Even if your bird has a pop-up timer, always double-check!

It’s best to cook your stuffing separately! Cooking it inside the turkey can make it harder to reach safe temperatures.
