Wind turbine companies to bury cancer-causing cables underneath and near the neighborhoods, schools and playgrounds of the 5th ward in Atlantic City?

That’s the warning given by Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt during his WPG radio appearance, Friday, Sept. 20.

Tibbitt: New councilman Huq spit on the residents of 5th ward. Many can’t speak English, some are afraid of being deported. Many not fully aware of how this wind project will hurt them.

Lacca: “The wind turbine project will tear up the Fifth Ward for almost three years. It will close Pete Pallitto Field too.

‘It’s a disgrace that as his first vote, Mohammed Huq threw residents of the Fifth Ward under the bus,’ said Maria Lacca, who will challenge Huq on Nov 5.

Tibbitt: 300 voters from the Ocean Club Condo on the Boardwalk made a mistake about the previous councilman, Muhammad Zia, who was found to live in EHT, not AC. Will Ocean Club make the same mistake again on NOV 5?

Tibbitt: There are much better, less disruptive routes for those cables that will run just 3ft under neighborhoods, schools, and playgrounds.

Tibbitt: Speaking with Huq is like talking to a wall.

Disrepair and poor management led a commercial tank barge to dump 10,000 gallons of oily water off the coast of Atlantic City, N.J., in 2021, the federal government alleged in a new suit. That’s according to Bloomberg Law.

Unico Marine Services LLC deferred maintenance and cut corners to keep two vessels in operation despite being unfit for the rough waters they encountered, according to the complaint filed Thursday, AUG 29, 2024 in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.

“Discharging oil overboard during a commercial voyage enabled the articulated vessels to stay at sea longer to pick up and deliver asphalt, thereby increasing profits.

At 10 AM on Tuesday, June 25, Seth Grossman of Liberty and Prosperity, Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera and community activist Steve Young, will hold a press conference at Iowa Avenue and the Boardwalk where those high voltage transmission lines are to be installed.

The City is now proposing that its Boat House, Pete Pallito Baseball Fields, and other recreational areas by the back bay in Chelsea, Chelsea Heights, and Bader Field be “Compensation Land” under state “Green Acres” control.

This will not benefit any Atlantic City resident or property owner in any way.

Developer Bart Blatstein may be forced to sell his Island Waterpark at Showboat Hotel.

According to Amy Rosenberg at the Philadelphia Inquirer, Blatstein could owe upwards of $7 million to various contractors who helped build the Atlantic City attraction.

The 16th annual Jersey Shorecast took place on May 8 at Stockton University, Atlantic City.

The featured panelists agreed; the general business outlook for Summer 2024 at the Jersey Shore is pretty robust, but there are concerns.

No beach concerts. Airshow budget troubles. Inflation. Crime. Drugs. Homelessness. Multiple fires under Boardwalk. Mayor and wife under investigation. Understaffed police dept. Perception of Atlantic City being unsafe. Needle exchange and open use of ma*****na within Tourism District. CRDA cutbacks.

This year’s ‘Shorecast’ panelists included the outspoken and often politically incorrect, Mark Callazzo.

Callazzo is a managing partner with RMS Capital. Callazzo is also co-owner of various Atlantic City bars and eateries.

VIDEO > During the April 9, 2024 rally at the Atlantic City Civil Rights Garden, AC councilman and BLM activist Kaleem Shabazz said “Mayor Small is an African-American male of high stature, and that shouldn’t be a cause for fear.

For 20 officers to go to the mayor’s home to get phones and laptops, we believe it can be perceived as overkill.”

Can you say great day? That ill-timed phrase got the ball rolling for Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small and his attorney, Ed Jacobs.

AC School boss and wife of the Mayor, LaQuetta Small was there. Both of the Small children were awkwardly front and center.

Mayor Small attacked those who made claims about potential miscarriage, twins, pregnancy, physical beatings.

Mayor proud that he and his wife LaQuetta control a half billion in taxpayer funds. Small says they’re doing a great job managing that cash.

Three days of contaminated drinking water in Atlantic City. Bottled water in short supply. Communication confusing and spotty.

From what we understand, the Atlantic City MUA water treatment filters were overloaded with iron sludge; contaminants that may cause major harm to those who use Atlantic City water.

What caused this city-wide emergency? What took so long to warn residents? Who’s responsible for this public safety screw-up?

The Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA) is governed by a five member Board of Directors who establish ACMUA policy.

Since Feb 2022, socialite Gary Hill has been chairman of the AC MUA. He joined the board in 2010.

Michael Armstrong has been Executive Director of the ACMUA since February 8, 2021.

According to social media, Hill still on vacation during this MUA crisis.

Dorsey, a convicted felon, is Treasurer of the dysfunctional and dangerous, AC Housing Authority.

Dorsey may have made off with a client’s Hurricane Sandy funds needed to rebuild her home. The elderly woman died before getting back into her home or recovering any money from Dorsey.
