is a movement that promotes culture, consciousness, and social development through insightful and introspective discussion forums, networking events, and seminars. We focus on issues that divide humanity economically, socially, culturally, and politically by bringing people of different walks of life together through open and frank discussions. We do not aim to change individual ideo
logies but rather expose the similarities of all people who tend to focus on their differences. Whether you are black, white, male, female, rich, poor, heterosexual, homosexual, educated, or uneducated you are a human being first, and your unique perspective on life should be considered a key contribution to society. We want to promote the idea of valuing not only your individual ideas and perspective but also valuing the unique ideas and perspectives of others. suggests that ‘We’ are unified by our humanity before the differences that divide us. There is a ‘Need’ for us ‘ToTalk’ so we can listen to each other and hopefully understand ourselves in order to eliminate negative prejudices, misconceptions, and misunderstandings. contributes to the social development and education of young adults as a platform for networking, public speaking, and exposure to different cultures and ideologies. We value the individual opinions of all people and have created an environment for them to be openly shared. Renowned theoretical physicist and philosopher David Bohm believed there was a better way for humanity to discover meaning and to achieve harmony. He identified creative dialogue, a sharing of assumptions and understanding, as a means by which the individual and society as a whole, can learn more about themselves and others, and achieve a renewed sense of purpose. We challenge attendees to think past their preconceived notions, and consider ideas both objectively and subjectively while utilizing empathy. Our discussions provoke thought, challenge preconceptions, and enlighten. David Bohm once suggested, “Suppose we were able to share meanings freely without a compulsive urge to impose our view or conform to those of others and without distortion and self-deception. Would this not constitute a real revolution in culture?” is the answer.
