A Quick share on breathing soul into our daily routines

Think of a daily schedule or routine as a dope beat or rhythmic groove that you’re digging.

There’s a certain mood that the repetition and patterns inspire you to feel.

That’s what the right healthy routine is like. Your consistent schedule, routines and patterns create the mood of your life. The consistent actions and feelings establish a groove and vibe that resonates and continues to move you.

A Dj is intentional with the set list to set the tone and keep the vibe flowing. You are the DJ of your vibe.
You can mix it up with high driving energy and slow down at times to recharge and sooth.

If your perfect day was a playlist — what would be the intro, the climax, the outro?

Would it start with prayer and or meditation?
When and how would you nourish yourself?
Where would you throw in some movement, some physical activity?
A time for work, dreams or other goals?
How about rest and self care to destress proactively?
What accountability would you set in place to keep the rhythm going and stay consistent?

We feel like we’ve found our groove in life when we are consistently nourished and motivated and energized and we can make life feel like a party by simply incorporating rhythm, which is all routine is!

And remember this — you ain’t gotta be on Alvin Ailey’s level to dance with life, 😂 even a two step is movement!
Just keep going !

Had the pleasure of spending Saturday playing some tunes for my beautiful mother and the beautiful women of S.I.S.T.A.S. R.E.A.D., Inc., as they celebrated their 3rd anniversary. There were vendors, painting, gifts and inspiration. Their energy was amazing and I enjoyed the vibe. Thanks for having me. These ladies are so much more than a book club and I look forward to the amazing work you all will do in the community. Shoutout to the founder Ms. Latisha Lane for her vision.
