A German startup, Tomorrow Bio, is offering cryopreservation services with the belief that future advancements in technology will allow the revival of bodies that are preserved through this process. The company charges approximately $220,000 to preserve a whole body and $81,000 for brain-only preservation. During the process, the body is cooled to minus 198 degrees Celsius, putting it into a state of 'biostasis,' where all biological activity halts indefinitely. In the future, these preserved bodies could potentially be revived. So far, Tomorrow Bio has cryopreserved six people and five pets, with over 650 individuals having already paid for the service. At the facility, the body is placed in a sealed steel container filled with liquid nitrogen and maintained at minus 198 degrees Celsius for ten days to reach the required preservation temperature.
