Pamarco’s new state-of-the-art 5.5-meter, 500-watt Harmony laser has arrived in our Atlanta, Georgia facility, and installation will be completed this week.
This major investment is a significant step in expanding the company’s capabilities and growth in markets requiring high volume ceramic coatings from 60 to 100 BCM, along with increasing our capacity to service the jumbo corrugated roll needs.
“Pamarco’s commitment to the industry continues with the addition of this equipment. The machine going into Atlanta supports our growth in the large roll segment, later this month, the laser for La Palma will be installed, increasing our service capabilities for the West Coast and South and Central America,” said John Burgess, President, Pamarco.
The Harmony laser, fully equipped with the latest software and hardware from Applied Laser Engineering, including Twin Track technology, will provide the Atlanta plant with additional laser capacity for engraving Jumbo rolls, improving operational efficiency and product quality.

Post polishing is the last step in our manufacturing process after laser engraving. This method requires precision since we need to preserve the volume of the engraving while removing a minuscule portion of the cell wall.
Polishing facilitates the rapid integration of the blade into the anilox, enabling the engraving to reach its maximum operational efficiency at the earliest feasible time. An improperly engraved anilox can cause harm to the doctor blade. Our engravings are enhanced through our proprietary post-polishing process without affecting the releasing properties of the cells.
