This clip is an excerpt from the 2024 Black Music Honors, part of a medley of hits from Hollister and fellow Chicago artists Carl Thomas and Syleena Johnson. I was very happy to see a new live version of this track was available, and in great quality. Dave is in top form and the instrumentation is butter smooth-Love the bongos! 🪘🪘
The show was also notable in that Hollister, Thomas, and Johnson announced that they would be forming a supergroup named “The Chi”, from which I expect great things 🔥
