Krystal A. Livingston is a woman on a mission. With a
voice that award-winning CCM Artist and Songwriter
Babbie Mason described as “smooth as honey butter” and
a passion to spread the Gospel, Krystal is determined to
share the love of Christ through song. A psalmist
extraordinaire, she caught the attention of the Gospel
music industry with songs like “Shoelaces”, “Winner
(Hupernikao)” and “Great Things”, a jamming, rhythmic
rendition of the Christian classic penned by Tessie Hill.
Her talent has placed her in front of greats in the music
industry including Josh Groban, Kenny Loggins and
Donnie McClurkin. Fans continued to embrace her after
unforgettable performances on Babbie’s House, Rejoice In
The Word with Bishop George Bloomer and Atlanta Live.
She’s taken to stages all across the country, but for Krystal,
she just desires platforms where she can brag on her God.
Hailing from the Northeast, Krystal has been singing since
the age of six. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and
later a long-time resident of Connecticut, she began
singing in youth and young adult choirs. She also sang with praise teams and the actress performed in
musicals as well. As a high school student, she joined and ultimately directed the school’s Gospel
Choir. Furthering her education at the University of New Haven, she founded and directed the
university’s first Gospel Choir until she graduated in 2002. Later, while completing her master’s
degree, she became the college’s first Adjunct Professor to teach Gospel Music Performance. After
graduating, she hit the road as a background vocalist for pop stars Kenny Loggins and Josh Groban.
She was also tapped to teach a Gospel Music Master Class at Yale University.
In 2016, she began serving as Executive Director of Worship & the Fine Arts and the Director of Praise
& Worship at New Life Christian Fellowship in Ledyard, CT. She stepped into the role of recording
artist with the release of her debut, My Journey, His Glory, in 2012. The worship leader and Gospel
vocalist began to catch the attention of sacred music fans with the project’s singles and she quickly
became a sought-after talent. Those in the industry took note as well and her music gave her the
opportunity to open up for the legendary Donnie McClurkin and industry shaker, Jermaine Dolly.
For her musical influence and accomplishments, Krystal was given a proclamation from the city of
New London, CT, and was honored by the National Council of Negro Women. In 2015, she became a
first-time nominee in the Gospel Music category at the Connecticut Music Awards, in 2017, Krystal
won the Holla Back Gospel Music Award for Best Female Artist and the Odyssey Award for Individual
Gospel Entertainment in 2022. Spreading her acting wings as well, she portrayed jazz great Nina
Simone in a one woman-show, “An Evening with Nina Simone”. In 2018, she moved from Groton, CT
to Atlanta, GA, where she went from being an active leader at The dReam Center, (pastored by the
renowned William Murphy, known for his breakout hit, “Praise Is What I Do”) to serving as an
ordained Pastor/ Founder of The Song of Deborah: Women in Ministry & Kingdom Leadership, which
serves leaders from all over the globe. Krystal is also the proud Owner of Mattie’s Gal Boutique and
she is an influential veteran in the higher education community.

The rising songstress and dedicated worshiper is currently readying her sophomore album, set to
release in 2024. Currently, Krystal’s music can be found on all digital platforms, including Apple
Music & Google Play.
