Three months ago, I submitted work to The Reelies Awards, feeling major imposter syndrome and thinking I might not have work worthy of an award, but I was willing to try.

Three weeks ago, I went all in on my business. I am now a full-time creator, partnering directly with local Atlanta restaurants to make amazing content for their social media, as well as managing social media for a few.

Four days ago, I got the best validation I ever could have dreamed of for someone just starting to invest in themselves as a business owner… I won a freakin’ Reelie.

I’m so excited to share a couple of life updates here… I am now spending 100% of my time (and it really kind of is 100% of my time… ha!) on Cameras & Cravings, and I can officially add “Award-Winning” to my résumé!

I won the 2024 award for Best Reel Made With Photos. I am beyond words for how the people in my life and the universe continue to show me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, doing what I should be doing!

Just feeling emotional and thankful and beautifully overwhelmed and excited and and and. Here’s to a lot more creativity and a million hours looking at screens to make you hungry on Instagram! 📸

Hidden in a north Chattanooga neighborhood lies Aretha Frankenstein’s, a breakfast spot the size of a thumbtack that I can only describe as “retro-goth cozy.” If you’re looking for a place with PERFECT fall vibes, look no further!

Aretha’s eclectic vibe is unlike any restaurant I’ve worked with before, pulling in spooky fun and vintage inspirations for everything from their decor to the names of their dishes. The pancakes are THICK and made fresh, and Aretha’s even has their own pancake mix AND “breakfast beer” with the most adorable illustrations you’ve ever seen! 😍

There are a total of four tables + a bar inside the restaurant—so come early if you’re not interested in waiting around. Thank you soooo much for having me in to shoot your gorgeous space + delicious menu! 🥞

Today is day 3 of running my own business

Am I already IN SHOCK wondering how the *$! # people do this all the time? Sure am 😂

HOWEVER. The hair is freshly done. The nails are freshly done. And life is looking up. So here’s to self-employment and also working approximately a million hours per week!!!

But I mean at least I get to look at this pasta from and now YOU DO TOO

Okay, the announcement I’ve been teasing is official… Here’s to quitting my job and going all in on my business!!!! And also drink mezcal-y margaritas and eating lots of gluten free pasta at 💚

I’m officially making Cameras & Cravings my full-time job as of TODAY! I’ll be offering content creation services (photography + Reels creation) and social media management, and I already have some insane work lined up! Let’s freaking gooooo 📸🍔🍝🤳
