Demolition of North DeKalb Mall began this morning to make way for a new 73-acre mixed-use development called Lulah Hills.
According to project developer EDENS, Lulah Hills will include 2.5 million square feet, including 320,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 1,700 multifamily units, 100 townhomes and 150-room hotel.
BREAKING NEWS: Multiple arrests have been made on the Emory University campus this morning after pro-Palestine supporters and public safety training center opponents set up an encampment in the quadrangle. Tear gas and tasers were deployed, according to reports from the scene. Atlanta Police and Georgia State Patrol troops are still on the campus as protests and arrests continue. Similar protests are occurring in campuses across the country. Our reporter Logan C. Ritchie is on the scene and will have a report later today.
