As I drive around with my family taking in the magical Christmas lights, I’m reminded to pause and see the wonder of this special holiday season through their eyes. 🤗

There’s something beautiful about how the simplest moments - like watching children’s faces light up at decorated homes or spending time giving back to our community together - remind us what truly matters.

It’s been quite a busy and fulfilling season around here!

Within 4 months, we all published books 📚

I’ve always wanted to be in a community that challenges me, supports me, and inspires me to do better.

I think this has been the biggest change I’ve made that’s critical for not only my business, but personal sanity as well. 😆

This Christmas hits different. ❤️

I spent last weekend volunteering with supporting families in foster care with a fun festive Holiday Extravaganza movie outing for kids and their families. (Thank you !)

Having a 20-month old now and watching the awe and magic of Christmas through a child’s eyes is pure joy.

When I was a little girl, there’s no way I could have dreamt up this wild adventure of a life I’m living and I’m so incredibly grateful for this community!!

And speaking of community…

✨ In a moment with so much in question, finding gratitude grounds me. It’s been a minute since I introduced myself so figured I’d say hey and share a few things I’m incredibly thankful for this year! 🍂💛

First things first—I’m a proud mama, entrepreneur, speaker, podcast host, and fierce believer in women’s rights 💪.

I’m semi-obsessed with helping nonprofits build monthly giving programs—because long-term supporters provide sustainable funding to create movements of change.

I love to run. 🏃‍♀️ 4-5x a week, it’s me, the road, and some killer podcasts 🎧—from Remarkable People to Smartless. Running clears my head, gets me inspired, and keeps me sane!

Speaking of inspiration—❤️My husband and daughter are my everything, my grounding force, and my daily reminders to slow down (which, let’s be real, I’m terrible at).

📚 Two monumental achievements this year that scared and invigorated me at the same time was publishing a book + hosting the first-ever Monthly Giving Summit for 2,100 nonprofits across 47 countries—THAT was AH-mazing!

Also, fun fact: I planned the summit on 🍕—and attendees thought I was joking when I said they’d get free pizza! See slide 12 for proof! 😉

VOTED 🗳️ 🇺🇸

I’ve had multiple people come to our door in the past few weeks lobbying for their candidate and I thank each and every one of them because

a) that takes guts
b) they serve as a reminder that everyone should voice their opinion by voting

I’m fortunate to take time out of my work day as an entrepreneur to vote, but that’s not the case for many working parents.

I’m a proud monthly supporter of - they pay for childcare costs because parents shouldn’t have to choose between voting and care for their kids AND because democracy is stronger when every voice is at the table 👏 👏

Just today, I got an email (see image 2) from their team sharing that they’ve been able to fund a childcare site in Baltimore offering drop-in childcare!!

But there’s 4 more locations on the waiting list ready to open their doors if there’s funding to support it.

So grateful for this little Rae of sunshine in my life that makes me slowwww down and soak up some salt n sun. 🌊 ☀️

Last week, I purposely planned a book tour stop in my hometown of Sarasota, FL where Kennedy’s Mom Mom & Deda live.

She got to meet my first boss.

Hang out with my best friends and their kiddos.

Celebrate my dad’s 70th!

And experience the beach for the first time since she was 3 months old.

Kennedy Rae, you are pure joy. So proud to be your Mommy. ❤️

Less than 24 hours ago, I wrapped the Monthly Giving Summit with 2,100 people 🎉…endless thanks to SO many , , Chris & Kat, all the speakers, volunteers & partners!!

Less than 4 hours ago I wrapped my first BOOK LAUNCH STOP at in ATL 🤗….so fearful no one would show up and just WOW!!

🥹🙏 I loved seeing my family, neighborhood friends and work colleague worlds collide.

Forever grateful. 🥰

There’s another name on the cover of my book— . Moments after this photo was taken (and after demolishing some Thai food 😆), I asked her if she’d write the foreword to my book.

Months earlier, on , I joined The Movement, ’s monthly donor program, because of a LinkedIn post Gloria, the CEO & Founder shared.

As someone semi-obsessed with innovation for good, I was immediately hooked when I heard their mission: “Making hope and mental health care free and accessible to all, using reimagined telephone booths.”

I was in the process of brainstorming a list of people I would want to write the foreword of the book when Gloria and I met for lunch.

Her energy and passion were electric.

She had just started emphasizing recurring giving and its importance to fulfill The Hope Booth’s mission.

After lunch, we took this photo, got in our cars, and drove away.

Not even five minutes later, I realized she was exactly who people needed to hear from—another peer in the trenches WITH them, building, being scrappy, and figuring it all out.

I immediately called her with this ask and graciously, she said, “Yes!”

Ya’ll.

It’s SO INCREDIBLE.
