I’ve never had a chicken before half the size of her fellow growouts and half the size of mom. This little blue silkie frizzle is so darn cute. Idk what her long term life looks like so tiny, but she seems to be alright. She’s almost 5 months old now and seems to be done growing lol.

Gray Eggs! And why I haven’t had them.

I have so many messages asking for gray eggs. My gray breeder girls had a couple months off and here is why. The boys are rough and they wanted to be moms. This decision led to a less stressful molt for my girls and Ewok here. She was looking so rough and the boy would jump them over and over.

She is starting to look good again. In the last few months, I had a boy in there for a few hours at a time. It led to 30+ fertile eggs that I didn’t expect. I will eventually sell gray eggs again in the next month or so, but these birds are more to me than hatching eggs. They are all unique and mean more than making any money off of them. I may do some gray chick boxes with the batch on the way. 🩶

Whites have been such a struggle for me with fertility. So happy to have 5 little whites growing out from my eggs. This one and four chicks. She looks good so far. Can’t wait to see her grow out. 🤍

I have 6 suspected Satin Pullets available. The one with the most pattern and dark head has a straight comb. The rest seem to be good. One is more solid buff. The rest are some sort of Millie and one looks almost porcelain.
2️⃣0️⃣ per bird, can ship one of them Monday if someone really loves one.
