More than a dozen Georgians are now facing charges after being arrested during a multi-state trafficking sting. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says they participated in “Operation Wrong Room,” which is a part of the national “Operation Coast to Coast,” which spanned 26 states from Maine to California and aimed to help identify trafficking victims across the country. Officers seized $255,000 from the suspected traffickers.

Congrats are in order for Atlanta’s own Quisha also known on the indie scene as ATL Ho**ah Queen, winner of this year’s “Who’s Hot,” competition powered by Hot 107.9 and .

The artist showcase was held June 21st at Domaine Atlanta in search of 2 talented acts, Indies left it all on the stage in hopes of winning the opportunity to perform at Birthday Bash 2024. Not only would the winner get the chance to open for , the first woman to ever headline the concert; the grand prize winner would receive a recording contral courtesy of Block ENT and Stoner Road Music.

Of course Quisha nailed it! We wouldn’t expect anything short of captivating from the underground queen known for her powerful performances and whimsical attire. Quisha shares a tearful moment with the crowd of her peers and supporters as she’s announced as the overall winner!

In less than 24 hours, Quisha would face a nearly SOLD OUT crowd in the notable State Farm Arena, home to the Atlanta Hawks; showing the city that she had ARRIVED! She definitely brought enough energy to break the stage.

Atlanta Native and 2023 US Open Winner Coco Gauf takes action on court 1 for the first match of the Day at Wimbledon She is the last American woman to win the title, and plans to do so in STYLE. On Day 1, Gauf payed homage to Serena Williams’ 2019 look and continues to channel her idol’s Champion spirit through her fashion on the court. Coco also wore a similar outfit at the 2024 Australian Open which closely resembles Serena’s 2016 look during her match.

Just days after reaching 3,000 career points Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray is named to compete in her second consecutive WNBA All-Star Game, giving the home team a reason to cheer in the midst of a moderately impressive season besides sold-out home games.

Gray is the Dream’s current scoring leader averaging 15.6 points a game with a 40% rate from behind the arc.

This year’s All-Star game will feature the Team WNBA vs. USA Basketball format.
