Annie trains you, books the broadcast opportunities, then gives tips to make you better. She’s invaluable as a publicist,” Chad says. Our work together extended beyond broadcasting. I’ve also had the opportunity to promote Chad’s passion for reptiles through his business, “Ship Your Reptiles.” From boosting his media career in sports to elevating his personal brand through his entrepreneurial ventures, working with Chad has been a rewarding experience. For this week's , goes to my PR client USA National Best-Selling Author and M&A Expert Brandon Blewett, who was a featured guest on WDAF-TV "Great Day KC" in Kansas City.Brandon talks with hosts Toni Talley and Carrie Gillaspie about what he wrote in his book "How To Avoid Strangers on Airplanes," the "Six Key Habits of Highly Annoying Travelers." These habits draw parallels between travel experiences and workplace obstacles, such as the crowded gate symbolizing competition for jobs or promotions, and the "eager exiters" who rush off the plane reflecting those who prioritize advancing quickly without building the necessary experience.Brandon is the co-author of the USA National Best-seller "Leadership DNA" and the author of "How To Avoid Strangers on Airplanes: A Survival Guide for the Frequent Business Traveler," which is also making waves as an Amazon #1 New Release! You can grab your own copies of Brandon's books on Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, or Kobo! As the Head of Corporate Development at the largest private equity-backed pavement services roll-up, Brandon has led over $210 billion in global transactions, helping entrepreneurs turn “sweat equity” into tangible financial success. Fun Fact! When he’s not driving deals, doing media hits or writing best-sellers, Brandon is an SMU Mustangs Football superfan who never misses a chance to cheer on his alma mater. This week’s quote is from Tennessee Titans Ring of Honor Awardee, Texas Sports Hall of Fame Awardee, TV/Radio football analyst, and former NFL coach for the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints, the late Bum Phillips.

Phillips emphasizes the importance of treating everyone with dignity and honor while maintaining self-confidence and courage. It encourages humility and open-mindedness by acknowledging the value of others, regardless of their status or background, while also advocating for inner strength and bravery, standing firm in your beliefs without intimidation.

Throughout his 17-year coaching career, Phillips’ teams accumulated a 126-117-4 win/loss record. He served as a head coach for eleven seasons, beginning with the Houston Oilers, where Phillips led the team for six seasons and compiled a record of 55-35-0. Following his time with the Oilers, Phillips became the head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 1981 to 1985, guiding the team to a 28-45-0 record. To honor Bum Phillips’ legacy coaching both Nederland and Port Neches-Groves High Schools, a rivalry game between these two schools now awards the “Bum Phillips Trophy” to the winning team each year.
