In this week’s newsletter for , I shared how this year has been a journey of refinement—breaking me into pieces as a mama, only to put me back together stronger than ever. I’ve learned the true meaning of suffering well and how to find strength, even in the most vulnerable, heart-wrenching moments.

Through the toughest days, I’ve realized that joy doesn’t always mean ease; sometimes, it’s just a small glimmer of light in the middle of the struggle.

Firstborns are truly special. They’re responsible for introducing you to the ebbs and flows of motherhood and showing you how strong you really are.

I was talking with a sweet friend recently who’s also expecting her firstborn. She shared some of the challenges she’s been facing, and as I sat, pouring back into her, God reminded me of my own journey to motherhood.

My first pregnancy was far from enjoyable. Months into carrying, things became high-risk, leaving me feeling defeated and questioning if I was even built to grow a tiny human. Each time I saw doctors and specialists, I left feeling more and more depressed. But here’s where it gets good: all the complications the medical professionals spoke over my pregnancy, GOD SAID, “NOT THIS ONE HERE.”

As I look back on how God carried me while I carried the most special gift He blessed us with, I give Him all the glory. And I’m thankful for the people who stood in the trenches with me—because sometimes all it takes is one person standing behind you and beside you to stir up your faith and remind you of how good our Father is. 🤍

Last week in newsletter, I shared a bit about seasons changing. And as we prepare to close out this month, the message is still ringing true: Change can sometimes be challenging, but it’s inevitable.

One thing motherhood has taught me is that change is part of God’s design—it arrives in its own time, with purpose and grace. We can either lean into it or resist it, but fighting change only makes it harder to see His hand in our lives.

As we enter this beautiful fall season, I encourage you to embrace the changes happening around you and within you. Trust that God is at work, bringing forth new beauty in His perfect timing— because he’s just that good, and he wastes nothing.

May you be encouraged this week. 🍁

Our church recently started a new sermon series titled Presence, and it has been incredibly life-giving.

Though I’m no stranger to God’s presence and His hand on my life, I believe there are moments when our faith needs strengthening from other believers to keep fighting the good fight. Yesterday was just that—a sweet reminder that God is good in every season. As we reflected during worship, I couldn’t help but feel thankful that my October looks nothing like my January. Honestly, I’m grateful that my Q4 looks nothing like Q1, Q2, or even Q3 😮‍💨.

This year has turned out so differently than I imagined, but I can wholeheartedly say that I’m much stronger & fearless because of it. And even now, as I face the giants in front of me, I’m preparing my slingshot with Godfidence, knowing that God’s goodness never runs out, no matter the circumstances.

I don’t know what your year has looked like, but I do know that God’s goodness never fails, and I hope this serves as a sweet reminder for you today. 🤍
