Yes. My peace is my priority. I’ve learned that many people have internal struggles which they allow to bleed out onto others in the most dysfunctional way. You can be kind, loving, and supportive toward these type of people but the war within themselves still allows them to treat you like an enemy. They know you don’t deserve the behavior you receiving from them, so they’ll try their hardest to get you out of character, so that they feel less guilty. All you can do is pray for them. Remove yourself from other people’s patterns of dysfunction 🖤🙏🏾

Whew!! I turned 30 and stopped caring ‼️ At some point I realized I was going above and beyond to make other people happy simply to be accepted by them, to stroke my own ego, or to feel some type of special bond. Being too nice left me empty. I’ll always be kind, my mama raised me to be! And I’m a child of God! BUT there’s a thin line between being kind and being a people pleaser ☝🏾your boundaries separate the two! ity

Whew! Marriage has forced me to accept some hard truths about myself! One being that I’d never learned or understood that healthy conflict exists! When differences arise, I’ve been guilty of silent treatment, hurtful words, unnecessary anger, and honestly wanting to give up! My healing journey as well as being in love with someone I never want to give up on has changed/is changing how I react to things! Solutions only ❤️❤️‍🩹

Healing is recognizing that I’ve also been the bad guy in someone’s story. My toxic trait is I will say the most hurtful things to people once they upset me. I’ve justified it by convincing myself “they deserved it” or “it’s my truth” but truthfully that’s not okay and I’m ready to mature from this habit. Internally, I have work to do. Externally, I’m avoiding spaces/people that bring out the worst in me. I’m learning to think before I speak ❤️🫶🏾
