A cold front will push through the region tonight, bringing in much cooler air from the north. Temperatures will be below average tomorrow with highs largely in the mid to upper 50s. Dry air will keep any precipitation well away from the area. Winds will be breezy and out of the north at 15-25 mph overnight but they will decrease during the day Wednesday.

🐝🏈 A message from Superintendent Dr. Janie Sims: Huge thanks to Hornet Nation for answering the call last Friday night. Your energy in the stands helped fuel our Hornets to an area playoff win! Crowd noise and turnout are making a real difference, and we need that same spirit this Friday in Ennis. Join us for a Regional Semifinals Send-Off at 9am this Friday. We’ll gather in the First Baptist Church parking lots and crowd both sides of Carroll Street to keep the bus route clear. Window markers will be available to decorate vehicles heading to Ennis. Let’s cover the square in maroon and white to show our pride. Game time is 1pm at Lion Memorial Stadium. Gates open at noon and tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Passes will be honored. Ennis ISD is cashless so tickets must be purchased online at https://gofan.co/app/school/TX16066. Let’s go, Hornets! 🐝🏈
