We created Living Lavishly Magazine to be a resource for the residents of San Luis Obispo.

We want to feature the wealth of talent and resources we have here on the central coast. Some are living lavishly in their beach cottage, while others are on their vineyard estate. Some are living lavishly in their ranch house and still others in their eclectic family home. Here on the central coast, we have a place and style for everyone and Living Lavishly keeps us focused on the local resources and expertise we have here in the area.

Saturday, May 6th is the annual Kentucky Derby. Established in May of 1875, the event is a classic at close to 150 years old!

In addition to the race itself, several traditions play a significant role in the Derby atmosphere, most notably the fun hats on the women called “Fascinators” and the mint julep. The mint julep is an iced drink consisting of bourbon, mint, and sugar syrup—is the traditional beverage of the race.
