Tonight at AFC Jr./Sr. High the community is invited to a presentation of an open discussion on mental health. We will have pulled pork sandwiches, pasta salad or coleslaw and chips available for the free will donation dinner.

We will be having NAMI (National Alliance of Metal Illiness) out into our area this coming Thursday.
Come for an evening of conversation, questions and answers, food and fellowship.
Where: Ashton-Franklin Center High School 611 Western Ave.
Time: 6:00 light dinner (free will offering) 7:00 information and educational discussion by NAMI(National Alliance of Mental Illness).
This event is open to everyone.
Mental health conditions do not distribute based on race, color, gender, age or identity. Anyone can experience the challenges of mental illness; depression, anxiety or suicidal thoughts.

Wanda Sue Hotchkiss Weishaar, 89, of Ashton, IL passed away on June 23, 2022. Wanda was born on April 3, 1933 to Claude and Euna Hotchkiss. She graduated from Ashton High School and married Norman Wieshaar on July 26, 1951 in Ashton. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Jan P.

Wayne Silvius will be observing his 95th birthday on Sunday, June 12. Unfortunately he has been in the hospital and is now residing in the nursing section of Liberty Village in Rochelle. I am sure he would appreciate hearing from his friends.

Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, we will have Drive-thru ashes from 6:00 am till 8:00 am (free coffee will also be handed out). Drive-thru ashes will also be given out from 2:00 - 4:00. Drive thru will be on the Gazebo side drive. We will also have stations and quiet prayer from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Come when you can, stay as long as you like. Traditional Ash Wednesday service will be at 7:00 pm.
