Joy in the little things, being a kid at heart, is the best anecdote for finding serenity in the scariness of which we find ourselves
Jump in rain puddles, why don't you?
Finding Joy in the little things of life, like kicking leaves, is a very good way to practice self care amidst the oncoming scariness
You don't have to be an expert, you just have to begin
I always wanted to play the geetar. A friend gifted me this some years back and it sat in my living room for years, not sure how to begin. Then, an intense film editing project led me to the realization, 'you don't have to be an expert, you just begin'
Over the last year, I have been practicing diligently as much as I can. This is so far what I have accomplished, and i feel proud. What have you wanted to begin for awhile but haven't yet? You don't have to be an expert, you just have to begin!

Life Model 101 Explained
I choose to use the term, Life Model, or art model, but you'll often hear it referred to as "artist model". However, for me, when I hear artist model, it connotes the model as possession of the artist, yet I and the models introduced in this series, are not and were not the possession or object, a still life, of the artist. We are forever our own person and artist working together with the artist to bring forth the vision of the creation.

Victorine began modeling at the age of 16 and continued to do so for many an artist throughout her life

Life Model 101: Fanny Eaton
Narrated by Jade Chavis
Researched & Written by: Lia-Liz Rose Dougal
In a time of Imperialistic London, black models were often used to highlight the 'whiteness' and 'social status of the prominent 'white model'. Other times, the black models were used in an exotic unnamed character. However, this was not the case with Fanny.
