Heavenly Father, we come to you with heavy hearts as we see the wild fires spreading across California. We pray for protection over the people, animals, homes, and communities in harm’s way. Give peace and encouragement to those who have been forced to evacuate. We ask for strength and protection for the firefighters and first responders, that You would keep them safe. Please bring comfort and provision to those who have suffered loss, and give wisdom to leaders and decision-makers so they can do what’s best for the affected and provide healing in the days to come. In Jesus Name Amen. 🙏

The model of forgiveness is Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. He didn't feel like it, but He saw the joy that was set before Him. So He gladly endured it. Our forgiveness towards others should be a reflection of the forgiveness God has given us.

A Prayer for the New Year:

"Lord, You know my thoughts—and how easily I get sidetracked. Help me stay motivated to honor You in the goals I’ve set this year. Remind me that while I make my plans, You guide my steps. Give me strength when the snooze button seems more appealing than the gym, and wisdom when my to-do list feels overwhelming. Keep me focused on what truly matters, even when distractions (or desserts!) call my name. Thank You for walking with me through every success and stumble. I know you are with me in this New Year. Thank you for being there. In Jesus name, Amen."

Choose your word for 2025! This is more than just setting an intention—it’s about aligning your heart with God’s will and trusting Him to lead you through whatever the year holds. So as you prepare for 2025, take time to pause and reflect. Look back at where God has brought you, and consider the lessons, joys, and struggles of the past year. Pray earnestly, seek His wisdom and direction, and let the Holy Spirit guide you toward the word that will shape and challenge you in the coming season.

Remember, this word is not just a theme for the year—it is an invitation to grow closer to God, to lean on Him more fully, and to live with intentionality. When life feels uncertain or difficult, your word can serve as a reminder of God’s promises and His faithfulness!

Let this be the year you surrender your plans and trust in His timing.

God does some of His biggest work in our lives through godly community. This is part of the reason it's so important we embrace community. God speaks directly to us, but He also chooses others to speak through when we need it most.
