This weekend, we were back with our friends at the Elliott County To***co Festival in downtown Sandy Hook, KY. In between storms, we provided audio and lighting for two days of bluegrass & country entertainment to celebrate the festival’s 50th anniversary.

Thank you to Dewey and the entire ECTF committee for asking us to return & take care of your production needs. Also a big thanks to our partners at Studimo for providing their SL100 stage & BlueLava Audio for providing the backline drum kit.

Spent our weekend in Hazard KY with the Mountain Firefighters Association at the Five Alarm Festival. Sleepy Dog Productions provided sound & lighting for Freddie Guffey, Nathan Coots, Tyra Madison, & Darryl Worley. Our friends at Event Stage Solutions LLC provided their ES-2620 stage and two video walls providing a live camera & sponsor spots.

It’s been an amazing weekend at the 7 Mile Bluegrass Festival.. and the night’s not over yet. AES provided sound and uplighting for the 6th annual festival, known for helping veterans throughout Southern Ohio by only requiring non-perishable food donations for veterans as admission. The festival moved to a new beautiful venue, the Pickaway County Fairgrounds this year.

Hats off to Billy and the entire 7 Mile BGF crew for a great event and choosing AES for your production needs!

Spent the past couple days with our friends at BT Media Group, Event Stage Solutions, & Shaping Our Appalachian Region Inc providing audio and lighting for the Country Music Highway Tribute Show in Louisa, KY. Two very VERY hot days but two great days of local talent as well as the “Million Dollar Homecoming” featuring Larry Cordle, Noah Thompson, and Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.

It was a great day to kick off the 2024 Live On The Licking concert series with Sarah Beth Terry and Plush at Old Mill Park in West Liberty, KY. AES provided sound and lighting for the quickly-rising all-female rock band who’s single “Run” currently sits on the iHeart Rock Top 40 charts.

DID YOU KNOW: In addition to small and medium festivals, we also provide "dry" rental of PA systems? We can offer a single or 2-speaker system with a microphone for making announcements or playing music, for those events where a full system and technician is not needed. The systems are power efficient enough that they can even be ran off a 750 watt vehicle inverter with ease. All dry hire systems will include all cables needed for use to connect whatever you need.

We are in the process of upgrading our rig for 2024. We have 4 JBL SRX835P loudspeakers for sale. All four boxes work great, and have no issues. We are the second owner, and they have always been kept in soft cases during transport.

We are asking $5000 for all four speakers. They will come with the soft cases. Retail price is $9000. Will consider offers for all 4. One pair is $2500 firm. No trades.

You will need to pick up in Ashland KY, or I can meet within reasonable distance. We will not ship unless you coordinate for shipping.

Reflecting on the last three days in southern Ohio.. just, wow. The whole Skinnyfest crew knocked it out of the park again this year. Three days of incredible talent with a crowd & weather to match. Definitely the place to be on the third weekend of September every year.

Been a hot minute since I have posted here.. doesn’t mean nothing’s been going on. Received a last minute call for sound & lighting for Skinnyfest Bluegrass Festival in Adams County, OH. Thanks to Richard and the folks at Skinnyfest for calling us, it was fun to be back at a bluegrass festival for the first time in a couple years.

Out of all the places one could do a show... our first show today was the reopening of the Garden Center at Walmart Ashland - U.S. Route 60 with Dustin Burchett With Kentucky Clear.. How many people can say they've played or ran sound at Walmart? 😜
