Along with the matching 28 year repeating 1996 calendar weirdness, and me revealing my own deepest darkest childhood secret, there is also a not so fun fact about writing Bloodlorn Angels.

Something happened to me in the real world that was so scary, I put the printed manuscript in a box and decided to NEVER open the file on my computer again. I am not sure, but this may have also been in 1996. I would have to check my resume to see when I worked as a designer at a sign company here in Asheville.

Never say never, I guess, because here I am pushing through loads of PTSD and current fears over releasing this story into the world. If I get brave enough, I may reveal what happened in the author notes. I will say that it was so life-threatening that I still have a feeling of dread and chills just thinking about it.

Thanks so much to the members of my writers’ accountability group and the author friends I have found on Vella. I truly do not think I could have made it this far without your support. ❤️

Project 25 would allow LGBTQ+ writers like me to be put in prison! My first coming out guide was banned in comminist China over 20 years ago. I NEVER thought I would see something so archaic, homophobic, and anti-women ever drafted for implementation here in America, the ”Home of the Free and the Brave,” but here we are!

Sitting on the futon eating yummy pizza and salad, and looked up to see our Anatolian/Pyrenees cross, Samson, with Gabriel, one of our kitty kids. SO SWEET! We have never seen her do this, but she keeps resting her head on him.

I am currently doing updates on my novel with a gay police officer who was also a detective. We are working on the crime scenes for Bloodlorn Angels,

It amazes me that I am sitting here crying over the power of this story that stormed through my mind and heart over 20 years ago. My dogs are all around me, slowly wagging their tails. They are watching me while tears run down my face over the truth of the origins of this story, which, of course, is from my own life.

What an emotional roller coaster this book has been, but also very cathartic to finally be honest concerning what happened to me when I was 13.

“Here we go…DEEP BREATHS…Be honest; be brave,“ I whisper to myself while loading another episode to Vella.

Damn, writing can be so hard, but my mantra has always been, “To make it right, you gotta write it out,” and that is exactly what I am doing.

Co-written by Miriam Delapline, a character from my Sandstone Series, these books are written so that kids aged 6 to 8 can ride along with Harmony during her adventures at Meadowbrook Farm.

The series starts when we meet Harmony just as she enters the world. As the young pony explores her new home, she meets many animals and faces challenges that teach her valuable lessons, like sharing with a playful bunny or forgiving a once-bullying calf.

Each book introduces new friends, challenges, and important life lessons for the pony to learn. Through it all, Harmony grows and discovers more about herself and the importance of seeing past appearances to find the beauty within. It's a heartwarming journey filled with friendship, learning, and lots of pony fun!

This series is based on my experiences as an equestrian and all the wonderful animals I have met during my life. If your little ones are too young to read, these sweet stories are also great for sharing times with them.

This is what I feel like when someone is ACU and has to read my MM stories for a comment promo, but they really do not want to read that genre.

I APOLOGIZE to those who are not into what wild bi and gay guys get UP to. Believe me, that as a woman-loving-women l*z, I NEVER thought I would be rewriting MM hardcore, BUT in my defense my business partner of many years died.

Max owned one of the largest Bi websites for men in the world at one point, and I was his designer for over 15 years. He was like a brother to me. We were working on a huge project to help homeless LGBTQ+ teens. I was writing for women and he was writing for men, and when he suddenly exited this world, I was devastated by the loss.

I was also left with hundreds of very raw anonymous stories that his members had given to us for the project. I organized and rewrote most of them, and those are the MM Books that I have on Vella and will soon publish on KU and print.

One thing that surprised the heck out of me is that this genre is a HUGE favorite for many women, and most prefer female authors! If I would have known that, I would have written and compiled these hot stories with both my partner‘s and my name.
