So, my husband says, “I’ll be right back, I’m going to pick up a grill from someone who is giving it away for free.” I’m thinking, we have a brand new Weber at home, why do we need another grill? But off he goes. He comes back, not with a grill, but with this old stove top. I look at it and I'm like, "Really? What are we supposed to do with this piece of junk?" Advice needed! We will be selling our home in a couple of months. The foyer stairs are the showcase of the home. When we moved in, there was wall-to-wall red carpeting on these stairs. When I removed the carpet, it was apparent that the wood was painted white. Instead of spending time and money stripping the treads, I just repainted them white. The advice needed is... for selling purposes... should I just leave them white, or should I paint the treads the exact same brown color as the balustrade? I am not in the position to have the treads stripped and stained at this point. Thank you in advance for your advice!

My mother has a 1920’s brick colonial. There are these weird “doors” throughout that we always called the fairy doors when I was little.
What are these actually for? When you open them, it looks like newspaper and concrete with an opening but it goes straight down to… nowhere. No idea why.
