Creating Multi-Organizational Partnerships –
From partnering with Audio Engineering Society and Thomas Edison National Historical Park (for “Wax Cylinder Day”) to internships with Grammy® Winning Engineer Brian Warwick’s students from Vermont State University at Lyndon to the mentorship of young artists from Barrington Stage Company’s Musical Theater Cohort, it has been a genuine pleasure collaborating on initiatives that both preserve our heritage and build future artists.

Meeting Benjamin Lerner –
It’s not every day that life presents you with the opportunity to change lives through music. But that’s exactly what happened the day Benjamin Lerner walked into our lives. Through his music, his weekly CLEAN column, his social media reels, his live performances, and his weekly radio show CLEAN Jams on 102.7 WEQX - The REAL Alternative, our work with Benjamin has become an integral part of our mission. From the stages of Carnegie Hall (with The Indie Collaborative) and The Aspen Institute to his recent “Lost Voices of Fentanyl” rally, Benjamin has become a face and voice for those struggling with Substance Use Disorder, Addiction, and Recovery.

Thank you, Benjamin, for the journey.

Getting “Happy!” –
Producing Tony Award® Winner Lillias White’s debut studio album, Get Yourself Some Happy! was 20 years in the making, but it was well worth the wait. Winning the NAMM TEC Award for Studio Design –

In January 2020, Old Mill Road received the prestigious TEC Award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for Best “Studio Design Project”.

What an amazing night! We celebrated our victory with famed acoustic designer Francis Manzella (FM Design) – and alongside such music legends as Joni Mitchell and Herbie Hancock.

Building the Dream – Creating Old Mill Road Recording was a true passion project – and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible contractors who helped us convert an 18th-century structure into a 21st-century state-of-the-art recording studio. Their beautiful work was highlighted in Mixmag's cover story in June 2019 and was also featured in Sweet Notes, Sweetwater's magazine.
