RECOVERY TAKES CENTER STAGE
Join us on September 3rd when Barrington Stage Company welcomes Musician, Viral social media content creator, Writer, and Recovery Advocate Benjamin Lerner for an Addiction Recovery Benefit Concert, PERFORMER.

Now sober nine years, Lerner shares the inspiring story of his hard-won recovery, bringing audiences along on an immersive journey that combines elements of Rap, Hip-Hop, Classical Piano, and Melodic Standards.

Like his Great-grandfather, Irving Berlin (composer of “God Bless America”), Lerner believes in using words and music to make a difference, performing for communities affected by addiction.

Benjamin uses his music to give others hope—and let people know that Recovery IS Possible.

All proceeds from this benefit concert directly support Pittsfield-area addiction recovery and artistic organizations (Living in Recovery, George B. Crane Memorial Center, and BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab)

Where:
Boyd-Quinson Theater at Barrington Stage Company
30 Union Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201

When:
September 3, 2025 at 8pm.

Today is the 250th Anniversary since Remember Baker was killed at the young age of 35.

Baker built the Gristmill of East Arlington on Old Mill Road, and - with his cousins Ethan Allen and Seth Warner - he founded The Green Mountain Boys.

Baker died fighting for Freedom and Independence. A group of local reenactors saluted him today.

Thank you to everyone involved who remembered … Remember Baker.

The team from Old Mill Road Recording was asked to produce and record The York Theatre Company’s cast album of “Stardust Road,” which showcases the glorious music of Hoagy Carmichael.

The musicians couldn’t come to us in Vermont…so we took a field trip and recorded them in New Jersey!

Thank you to Dave Amlen, Tony Drootin, and their team at Sound On Sound Studios in Montclair.

BIG thanks to Hoagy Bix Carmichael; Wendy Hall and the York Theatre Company; and Julio Bague and the PEER Music team. peermusic

We’re thrilled to announce that Old Mill Road Recording artist Benjamin Lerner will be making his Berkshire stage debut with PERFORMER, a one-night-only concert at Barrington Stage Company on September 3, 2025!

Blending classical piano, hip-hop, spoken word, and personal storytelling, PERFORMER charts Benjamin’s remarkable journey from addiction to recovery, delivered through the fearless honesty and genre-defying musicality that define his sound.

If you’ve been following Benjamin’s music, social media feeds, radio show, and recovery advocacy efforts over the past several years... you won’t want to miss this LIVE experience.

All proceeds from this special concert support three Berkshire-based nonprofit organizations—BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab, The George B. Crane Memorial Center, and Living in Recovery—all of which are dedicated to healing, community, and the transformative power of the arts.

It’s a proud moment for all of us at Old Mill Road to see Benjamin’s voice take center stage in the Berkshires, and we can’t wait to share this performance with you.

Congratulations to our friend and incredible colleague, Benjamin Lerner, on the five-year anniversary of his debut album, CLEAN! Released on February 20, 2020, CLEAN was a deeply personal journey through addiction and recovery, recorded and mixed entirely here at Old Mill Road Recording.

Benjamin poured his heart, pain, purpose, and truth into every note and word of every song.

Since then, Benjamin has built his music into a multi-platform movement, sharing openly about recovery through fearless advocacy and storytelling.

As he prepares to release his new EP, RUN TOWARDS THE TRUTH, tomorrow, we celebrate how far he’s come—and how far he’s going. Keep moving forward. Run towards the truth. Don’t quit before the miracle happens.
